Who was AWESOME this last month?
On Saturday October 21st, the Org had an event with several people speaking
who had just returned from the Freewinds Ship. They attended to learn more about,
and devise some plans to achieve the establishment of our new Ideal Org building
faster. There were about 100 in attendance at this event.
Of the 18 Vancouver Scientologists who made it to the Freewinds, five spoke at
the event ( Ellen Smith, Linda Gledhill, Gail Spick, Ray Rockl and Paul Price).
Speeches were inspiring as each person talked about courses they had done and wins
they had achieved.
This was followed by a tremendous presentation on the new building itself by
Peter Byrne (E.D. Foundation) and a short facilitation of some Ideal Org
building fundraising where we raised over $40,000 and achieved the $1.2 million
mark in funds raised to date.

Hello !
I have to write to you about a little discovery of mine; it has to do with listening to the Congress Lectures. Up until about a month ago I was listening to the Congress Lectures at a pace of about 1 per day (some days “0” and some days 2 or 3). |

My original purpose was “to just get through all the lectures” (I had made it through 1/2 the Congresses at that point). In September I received a little booklet from a Flag Congress Lecture Representative (Jon Weibert) to ’record my wins’. I thought: “...wish I had started this in the beginning of my listening…this ’seems’ like a great idea (intuitively)”
NEW IDEA
I stopped listening — Went back to the beginning (Anatomy of the Spirit of Man Lectures) — and decided to take notes as I listened. My plan was to jot notes... cognitions and wins “as they occurred”… then type up my hand written notes and send them in via email.
RESULT
Huge wins. I returned to these first lectures and began with this new way of listening. By ‘actively listening’ and ‘looking’ for the Cognitions and Wins to appear my listening became MUCH more enjoyable, with case gain attached.
SHARE THE WIN
I shared the win with my FSM (Ty Dillard) and he offered a very interesting point of view. By “only listening” to the Lectures it is possible to get a ‘stuck flow’. By note taking and writing down Cognitions and Wins you are introducing an ‘outflow mechanism’… and, by exporting your notes to another person you are cementing your wins by articulating them in a fashion for another to ‘get’ your wins. My last step in this listening procedure is I have asked that my emailed wins be inserted into my pc-file at Flag.

It’s hard to express the significant change in my assimilation of this information… simply by changing my purpose in listening (from just getting through the CDs —to— actually assimilating and retrieving Cogs and Wins). Having a little procedure (note taking—type my notes—send them in) to effect this has helped a tremendous amount.
